MUSEUMS and SPORTING ACTIVITIES

RENAZÉ

The French National slate Museum is signposted off the D771 just North of the town.                 Also within the town you may see two old mining headgear that have been retained in addition to the one at the museum. Anyone interested further in slate mining should consider a visit to la Mine Bleue at NOYANT la GRAVOYERE, about 14 kilomatres away in the direction of Segré. At the mine there are surface exhibits as well as an underground experience.

COSSE le VIVIEN

The Museum Robert Tatin is signposted in the town. M. Tatin spent sixty years travelling the world then he returned to France, to sculpt the things he had seen on his travels. Cosse le Vivien is about 20 minutes by car of Renazé on the D771 towards Laval.

La SELLE CRAONNAISE

La Rincerie Water Sports Centre is ten minutes away by car and offers wind surfing, catamaran sailing, kayaking, 'swig golf' and mini golf.

VITRE (Golf)

Les Rochers Sevigne is in the grounds of a Chateau and has an excellent eighteen hole course. It has hosted the French Open Golf Championship on several occasions and has a good clubhouse and restaurant. This is north-west of Renazé about 40 kilometres away.

CHANGE les LAVAL (Golf)

this golf course is north of Laval adjacent to the River Mayenne. It boasts a full 27 holes with panoramic views and a first class clubhouse and restaurant. About one hours drive from Renazé.
